I am a six year personal trainer who resides in beautiful Miami Beach, Florida. I am also a fitness model, and image consultant. I’ve had a passion for fitness since the age of eight when I joined my first track team. Ever since then, I’ve been a fitness fanatic. My specialty is functional training, core development, and body fat loss. I understand that many people aren’t motivated to workout, so it is my absolute pleasure to bring my energy to the gym, park, track, pool, wherever you want to train, and motivate you to attain your goals. I have had the pleasure of training many celebrities including Shareef Malnik, Dave Chappelle, Jazmine Sullivan, Vivica Fox, and Ludacris. I absolutely love what I do-helping people live longer, fitter, healthier lives!

Her full bio and more stunning pics are after the break. Be sure to welcome her to the bpure team with a kudos comment today! Without further stalling; here is Maria Scally:
Fitness is my passion. With a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Masters in Performance Enhancement & Injury prevention from Penn State University and multiple certifications; I embarked on this healthy lifestyle journey over 18 years ago. I started ballet and jazz class at the age of 4 from a very strict ballet teacher. I learned that practice develops perfection, it defines your disciplinary skills, and it molds you into who you are striving to be! Starting ballet at a young age taught me how to develop my skills, my strengths, and my creative movement patterns that I utilize today. I am always seeking ways to better myself- helps others- and create programs that are interesting to enhances ones quality of life.
My love for fitness grew when I was 13 years old. I was motivated by Jane Fonda and Tamilie Web (the Buns of Steel Girl). I would watch those tapes so many times and do there workouts everyday- I could have said the routine in my sleep! I was given the opportunity to teach aerobic conditioning for my High School Football Team! Everyone in my high school knew me to be very active, strong, outgoing, and happy. I still am a social butterfly! Maybe that is one aspect of fitness I love so much due to it being a very social environment!

BPURE Update…
My first month in Israel was expectedly hectic. My morning runs and kettlebell routine kept me sane through two moves, the start of language classes, and a totally new diet (aka institution food…more on that later). The first few days were great, but by the end of the second week of throwing the kettlebell around, I just wasn’t feeling it anymore. There is definitely something to be said for progressive overload, and working with the same 15 pound kettlebell for 4 weeks just doesn’t provide that stimulation. I’m waiting for the boat to arrive with the rest of my weights.

My love of movement began with ballet, running, and swimming. In the past ten years I sustained several injuries but refused to let them limit me. Each one forced me to modify my training regimens, and seek new ways to work out. One of those “discoveries” was weightlifting, and I instantly fell in love. I subsequently studied for my personal training certification so that I could continue to grow and hopefully help others do so as well.
Weight lifting eventually led to training with kettlebells, my ultimate training tools. Another certification ensued. However, vigorous workouts are not always feasible. As various injuries recur, I adapt to accommodate the flare ups. By incorporating balance, strength, flexibility, and agility drills into my routines I can continue to workout regardless of my injuries. I motivate my clients in the same way, by encouraging them to train their bodies to be efficient, healthy, and strong.

Enjoyment is one of my main goals during my workouts. I never start a routine without feeling the pleasure of it; this allows me to surprise my muscles with different exercises and new activities. Keeping in mind to stay “out of the comfort zone”, otherwise there is know way for improvement!
A couple of months ago I started taking a pole dancing class. It was unbelievable, I discovered new ways of training that excited me and gave me a new burst of energy. It worked my entire body. Pole dancing class starts with stretching and core exercises to warm up. Then the music comes on, and the lights go down and excitement fills the air. The instructor goes into showing us tricks, transitions, and even certain moves on the pole, floor, and chair. Wow!, so amazing, as she moves slowly, she reminds us that we are women fit and sexy. It’s beautiful to be apart of and to watch.
